To meet people and learn about their philosophies and life experiences.

ABOUT ME

Die hard romantic idealist who loves to work, will never retire, writes poetry and prose. I plan to build a harpsichord from scratch once the mansion, gardens and vineyard are done- and the tobacco barn is converted into a huge workshop for artisans... and the newly created design house business is established. Will probably spend time living in the Ukraine for a few years... learning Russian at the moment.

PHILOSOPHY

You create your own reality. I am a very lucky man because I have the choice of doing whatever I wish to do.
I am learning how to be more patient. My mother has severe Alzheimer's and I am her principal caregiver. It is a real challenge at times but a great experience.

I love to travel and host. Good discussions are always something I seek- the exchange of information is very important to me as well as making new friends!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted (on my farm in Pennsylvania when I lived there) and surfed (Sumy, Ukraine). Great experiences though both were very different.

Interests

I am interested in just about everything under the sun.
At the moment I am helping two Ukrainians learn English while they attempt to teach me Russian! For work I am designing a line of original furniture incorporating new methods...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Started and operated an organic farm(CSA) for three years and provided great food to more than 80 families. It was a great success. Also designed and built by hand a modified post and beam straw bale house by myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach many things. Organic farming, furniture design and manufacture, designing, building and restoring structures including straw bale...painting, sculpture, languages....classical ballet, how to start your own business...
