About Me

Ade has an MA in English literature from Cyprus International University, a BA in theatre arts from the University of Ibadan, a 3-year diploma in theatre arts from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and is presently pursuing his PhD in English language and literature at Karabuk University, Turkey. He is easygoing,  quiet, very thoughtful,  philosophical, and simple but not simplistic. He has a very high sense of justice,  sympathy, and empathy. His philosophy of life is integrity and simplicity. He finds it difficult to cope with proud people. He loves sincerity and being real. Even if you have a bad habit, sincerely let him know about it rather than proving to be what you are not. Believe him, he would accept you for who you are and try to help you overcome some of your defects. He is very friendly, enthusiastic,  dramatic, and sociable. He loves helping people without expecting any personal gain in return. He hates pretense,  lies, and puritanism.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people, make new friends, and help anyone who needs it if it is within my ability. Also, to exchange ideas with others. Basically, I am on this platform for a positive reason.

Music, Movies, and Books

I cherish reggae and gospel music, as well as historical films. I love academic books and articles that apply fascinating theories. I also enjoy books on philosophy and Greek literature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was about ten years old. I went to the river with some children to swim, including my immediate younger brother. As we were swimming, we were all inexperienced, but we just went there for fun and adventure. Suddenly, my immediate younger brother started swimming closer to the deep side of the river, and suddenly he was drowning in the lake. I became extremely scared and concerned—immediately, I threw myself into the lake in an attempt to rescue my brother. During the process, I also fell into the water, but thankfully, God assisted me in rescuing my brother.

Teach, Learn, Share

The world is a learning space for every individual. The day one stops learning is the day one stops knowing. And the chief of all fools is he who thinks he is wise and believes no one else is wise except him. No one is omniscient; we must keep learning.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My life's experience, what I have known personally about life, and probably my educational background.
