About Me

I am a Lithuanian living in Copenhagen since 2009. I have studied and worked in highly international environment and I love it. My formal education is within business, but I love combining that knowledge with my passion for improvisational theatre (or improv). Thus, I currently work part-time as a freelance coach/consultant.

I have always liked traveling, and have been admiring people who are exploring and "adventuring" for months, but haven't done that myself(yet!). I would love to meet up and hear about your stories, if you've done something of such sorts!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I do not have space to host anybody overnight at the moment, but I would like to meet travelers in Copenhagen and show you around, hear about your adventures, and just hang out. If you need tips from a local/expat, let me know!

If I am visiting your town, I would love to hang out, exchange stories, get some tips for good coffee/food places that are locals' preference or smaller music gigs. Also, if you know any improv shows, jams and workshops, or comedy places to check out, I'd love to do that. Generally, I like to explore and take it easy.

Interests

When it comes to off-hours, I love going to concerts (music is recharging, and live music is magic!), coffee, having chats, meeting new people and hearing their stories, exploring new places, doing something creative (often it ends up being improv:P), and obviously traveling!

Music, Movies, and Books

Fink, Paolo Nutini, Ed Sheeran, Agnes Obel, Nahko Bear and Medicine For the People, Passenger, Matt Corby, Tash Sultana, Bruno Mars, Sting, Aerosmith, Guns N' Roses, Imagine Dragons, The XX, Ella Fitzgerald, RHCP, Nickelback (I know, I know!), and many many more. Also, always on a look out for more, so feel free to share!

I enjoy movies, but I can't think of my favourites at the moment.

Books: A.Camus is probably my favourite author so far. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I wrote my master thesis in less than a month. It's one of those thing I am proud of and yet at the same time not proud of! It's certainly a story!

Another amazing thing: I jokingly dissed an expensive-ish trip saying I would rather spend that money in Chicago learning more about improv, and as I said that "joke" I realized I wanted to go to Chicago. Long story short, I spent 5 (so far best in my life) weeks in Chicago.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share some Lithuanian cuisine recipes, teach Lithuanian language lessons, facilitate some improv workshops if you have a few friends to join you or just some improv techniques!

When it comes to learning, I would love to learn at least a few words in your mother tongue, hear tips on travel, exercise, meditation. Also music recommendations, or your cuisine specialties.

If you're a digital nomad, would love to learn more about your experience as one.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Cooking, tidying up, improv techniques, chats.
