Overview
About Me
I’m quite chill and easy to get along with. Some even say I’ve got a great radio voice.
I have an exceptional ability to avoid living in one spot. This definitely gets in the way of my composting, gardening, wood carving and fermentation projects. One day I will have a mobile coffee minivan specializing in hand pour but still able to pull a fine macchiato.
Grew up in small town British Columbia and moved away at 18. Miss it a bit but far away places are winning out on the farm.
Happy to see what’s going on in the world. I’ve lived in China and Japan more than North America in my adult life. My current road trip works towards getting reacquainted with my home continent.
Currently working my way around North America in a powder blue ‘91 Camry with a ‘91 cow splatter GT Avalanche mtb on the back. My understanding of car problems is ever increasing.
Started in Vancouver, BC - Saskatoon, SK - Kootenay Boundary, BC - Coeur d’Alene, Moscow, Stanley, Twin Falls, ID - Salt Lake City and up through Tetons and Yellowstone through to Minneapolis and a wedding in Prince Edward County, Gaspé, Nova Scotia, PEI, NB, Maine, Boston, New York, DC, Shenandoah, Atlanta and am very excited to see the south.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I enjoy homes. Wherever I have travelled, be it a kong in a dirt floor farmhouse in northern China or a bed in a graffiti covered art space in Oaxaca, the opportunity to experience how people go about the mundane aspects of life gives great insight into our commonality. I’d love to share some of that with you.

Music, Movies, and Books
Trying to figure out trap before I get to Atlanta. Possibly going to Columbus to stalk Ron House. Currently reading Pastoralia. Watching not much besides Succession. Listening to Infinite Jest - maybe it will end before my travels.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Smuggled pictures out of North Korea? Lived on this beautiful planet!
Teach, Learn, Share
Trying to get my sharpening skills down so I can continue carving spoons. Can fumble through some Chinese and Japanese phrases with you.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Conversation, experience, meals, drinks. I’m pretty good with a coffee maker and stovetop.
