About Me

ABOUT ME

Outgoing, communicative and friendly.
I've been enjoying my life after moving out of my childhood home by travelling around (mostly Europe) and meeting new people. I love cooking, and I would describe majority of my travels as "foodie adventures" - especially since moving to Scotland I tend to choose places that offer a bit more flavoursome cuisines.. :)
I think there is nothing better than an adventurous yet relaxed trip with your friends, and if you choose people you travel with and meet wisely your life will be full of excitement and good times, ALWAYS with a good soundtrack playing in the background.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I figured, what a better way to travel and meet the local people than to share their home with them?
Having visited my friends at their hometowns and being enchanted by the completely different experience of the places than you could ever get with a guide, I feel like couchsurfing does not only offer you a place to sleep but also a detailed inside on how the locals live n what they're like.
Travelling is all about food, people n places for me, and I feel like there is no better way to get to know a place.

Interests

Music, TV series, sushi, obscure stoner films
Nothing beats a Netflix sesh with a glass of wine and a home-made meal when I'm at home, but when I'm on the roll... I love seeing the place from locals' perspective, and tend to be way more active while on an adventure!
I love cooking (and eating) and a good party. Or a music gig. Or an outdoors cinema.

Music, Movies, and Books

Since moving around my music n film tastes change as often as the weather over Scotland.
I enjoy Rodriguez n Tarantino a lot, find obscure stoner comedies and 80s and 90s classics hilarious but I won't say no to a good documentary.
Music-wise.. anything goes. From Led Zeppelin, Radiohead and chilled indie/folk tunes from UK, I've recently found myself loving some reggae n oldschool classics.
I love mystery novels (read through all of Agatha Christie by the time I was 12) but recently, since living much for fast-paced life than at home, I don't have too much time to read. Unfortunately. Still, anything from Catch-22 to Harlan Coben's crime novels will strike my fancy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've worked and stayed on Jura, a beautiful Scottish Island, no signal, barely any internet and managed to create the best experience of my life. So I feel like "turning off" (for young social-network obsessed city girl) taught me a lot.
Other than that, I'm still obsessing over the sultana chilli meatballs I made a year ago.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a freelance translator and I used to teach elderly people languages, as a way of sharing stories, experiences and maybe helping them out with keeping their minds fit!

What I Can Share with Hosts

FOOD. I make you a meal and show you the best TV series on earth. My friends say my talent is to find the best episode of every show I've ever seen, suited for the needs of my watching partner :)
