I'm currently on a gap year (that might never end, let's see). At University I would like to study either; law, journalism or global studies.
Cat person but just about any animal makes me happy.
I have a soft-spot for old things, antique dealer's granddaughter with a bad habit of hoarding retro, vintage and antique items. I live at op-shops (thrift shops, second-hand stores).
I'm a stickler for starting notebooks and not filling them, and I write average poetry.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Everyone hates having the same three conversations in a row in every hostel everywhere. Being in people's homes and seeing how they interact with their environment has been the best part of my trip.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have read and own every Gillian Flynn novel in existence.

My music taste is eclectic and widely varied - In saying that, homegrown talent are some of my favourites, I can introduce you to some quality Aus tunes.

I like movies that make you think a little - I've seen Snowpiercer twice and Blackfish seven times.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Camped in the Ukrainian mountains at a mid-summer festival in a non-waterproof canvas tent in torrential rain.

Will exchange some tacky Aussie slang lessons (inc. translations of phrases like 'drongo', 'mate', and 'fair dinkum') for some local language lessons.
I'm currently trying to learn chess and German.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Vegan cooking skills, stories, music recommendations (the only pure form of bonding), and a local's perspective on Australia if you're planning a visit. Otherwise I can bring a little bit of Australia to you!
Also I'm a Monica from Friends level neat freak so I can keep your home tidy while I'm there (washing up included).
