ABOUT ME

I'm an outgoing Australian, but my national identity only means anything to me when I get the chance to use facepaint on Australia Day (I love any type of costume and am always looking for an excuse to dress up). Honestly, I would much rather live somewhere else in the world which was closer to all the interesting places I would like to travel.

I love travelling and want to spend the rest of my life developing my sense of adventure and finding new places to explore. For this reason I never want to stop studying and I value this time of my life so highly because of the freedom I have and all the choices I've yet to make.

I look forward to meeting new people as I travel and often enjoy a raucous night partying, dancing and singing with new found friends.

In 2008/2009 I backpacked in India and Nepal, and in 2009/2010 I lived and studied for 6 months in Heidelberg, so while in Europe I visited Spain and Scotland as well as travelling locally in Germany.

I completed my 6 months away from real life with an epic Winter rail journey through the Czech Republic, Austria, France, Belgium, Holland, Sweden, Denmark and culminating in my boyfriend and I fruitlessly chasing the Northern Lights in Northern Norway in the depths of Winter to the furthest North either of us had ever been, before I restlessly had to return to Australia. Needless to say, this has only whetted my appetite for more travel

My last real adventure was 3 weeks in Turkey, squeezed in between semesters at uni, and travelling with two of my best law friends! We ended up ditching the train and camping under a railway bridge before we were washed out in storm and spent the night squatting in an abandoned house.

I'm itching to travel again. Just have to complete the degree first!

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life to the full - tempered by occasional risk assessment - because Craig convinced me to believe of travel: *this* is more real than "real life".

Interessi

I am interested in: vintage fashion, dressing up, costumes, themes, coffee, any decade of the 20th Century, drawing, art and craft with found objects/junk, sketching, reading, singing, sewing, lace, beads, stilettos, burlesque, languages, travel, red lipstick, swimming when it's cold, bicycles, bicycle bells, bicycle baskets with plastic flowers, cooking, cakes, homegrown vegetables and baking.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

After the hardest day of physical exertion I have ever experienced, having reached the highest point of a mountain just out of Kathmandu in Nepal and my threshold of exhaustion, I saw a wizened man running at a trot and carrying a basket of rocks on his back supported by a fabric band around his forehead. Incredible.
