About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To keep my heart open to every person I meet

ABOUT ME

I'm a southern girl and I'm proud of my subtle drawl. I love to cook, I love to sing, I love to dance.

I don't do anything half-way!

I believe in community organizing, and challenging dominant & oppressive systems through empowering the grassroots.

I may travel, I may choose to live in another city, town or country for a while (Seattle or maybe Stockholm?), but I can't escape the fact that I really want to spend every summer for the rest of my life in a sun dress, barefoot in the Alabama grass I grew up in.

I'm in the process of simplifying my life.

Looking for new friends with old & kind souls!

PHILOSOPHY

Let others lead small lives, but not you. Let others argue over small things, but not you. Let others cry over small hurts, but not you. Let others leave their future in someone elses hands, but not you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am brand new to Couch Surfing, and I'm kicking off my membership on an epic road trip with my boyfriend.

Louisiana -> Michigan -> Nevada -> ?

I am blown away by the kindness of others, and I hope to offer my gifts to new Couch Surfing friends.

Teach, Learn, Share

How to tell your story in a way that moves others to action: Marshall Ganz style.

Anything related to community organizing and activism: leadership development, fundraising, organizational development, starting a group, non-violent direct action. I've given many trainings on these subjects, and I'm happy to share!

I can't get enough of this stuff.
