Hi! I grew up in a small town in Indiana and went to school in a rather small city in Indiana called Bloomington where I studied gender and film. After spending a bit of time deciding where to go next, I ended up in New Orleans where I worked a variety of odd jobs before finding myself working for the public library system. I soon after got my master's degree in library science and ended up managing a sweet little branch library. Recently, I traveled to Guatemala to begin learning Spanish at an immersion program in a city called Xela and that experience moved me to continue studying Spanish and traveling a bit! I have a very attractive cat named Franz.

I'm spending the next few months in Mexico, where I will first be studying Spanish at UNAM, then plan to travel to Oaxaca. I hope to make some friends throughout my travels!

I love horror movies! Favorites are The Brood, Deep Red, Possession, and Society.

A book that I recently read and loved is Signs Preceding the End of the World written by an author from
Mexico City who now lives and teaches in New Orleans.

For the past decade I've been pretty enamored of this musician from Chicago named Bobby Conn. I also have been listening to Nina Hagen, Raccoo-oo-oon, and Crazy Spirit.
