I just got married. So that's a big mission, it's an amazing and challenging journey of personal growth with my best friend & sweetheart, Mark.

I love to be around people, I love to cook, talk, listen. I also like quiet times when I read. I'm open-minded towards people of all walks of life. I love to make music with my husband, Mark, who is an awesome guitarist :) :) :)))

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I visit a country I would like to get to know that country by getting to know its people. As a tourist in hotels that's not possible. I've been backpacking staying in hostels and all I met were other backpackers from other countries, but no locals! So this website is a fantastic way to meet people! I would also love to receive people from other countries in our home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

While living in NZ I visited many countries (stop overs on the way NZ-Switzerland!). Since living in Basel (1988) I have not been outside of Switzerland a lot. In the Summer 2014, my youngest daughter and I had an awesome time couchsurfing in Hungary and met some wonderful people, some have become good friends! We got to know the local people and culture, they cooked Hungarian food for us and taught us Hungarian words... we really got immersed in the Hungarian way :)

Interests

Nature, short walks in the forest with our dog, Fiona, but I also love to go on day hikes, or 3-day walks in the hills, I love dancing and singing, swimming in the sea, walking on the sandy beach, preparing food and eating !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

the birth of my first, second and third child; moving to NZ; moving from NZ to Basel ...awestruck and culture-shocked! ha ha! ...but have recovered after 26 years and in this time getting to know the Lord

....and now marrying Márk!!!
