Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Too familiar with the scary idea of visiting a new city and having nowhere to sleep, Couchsurfing saved me on my first few nights in Japan, when I stayed with a local in Tokyo. It's a fantastic concept, allowing people to open up their homes.
