Hi! I am Adeline and I'm from Singapore, where it is hot and sunny all year round. I'm 22 years old and I'm currently a student, majoring in Business in the National University of Singapore. I love travelling and I'm always open to new experiences! I also never tire of seeing beautiful sunsets and sitting by the beach.

I'm new to Couchsurfing and I joined to meet new friends and to understand more about different cultures around the world. I believe that people is the key to unlocking the essence of places around the world, and that travel is always more fun with more company! I'm also happy to share more about Singapore :)

My top interests include travelling, reading and playing music.

I got hooked onto travelling during my 6 months of travel around Europe in 2012 while on exchange (erasmus) in Belgium. I got the chance to visit many countries, of which my favourites include Italy, London and Morocco.

I like reading English fiction, and I have been playing the piano for over 10 years. I also recently started learning the ukulele 2 years ago :)

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Books: I read mostly English fiction books. My favourite books include 1984 by George Orwell, Lord of the Flies by William Golding, The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold and the Harry Potter series by JK Rowling.

Music: I listen mostly to indie, alternative music. My favourites include: Regina Spektor, Sara Bareilles, the xx, Lykke Li, Banks, Chet Faker, and Coldplay.

Movies: I don't have any favourite movie per se, but the most memorable ones right now are: Her, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Theory of Everything and The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I got the chance to see the Aurora Borealis in Kiruna, Northen Sweden. The weather was freezing (-30 degrees celcius), my toes/ nose/ fingers felt like they were going to drop off, I wore 4 layers of socks, I travelled for 14 hours to get there from Belgium, but it was an amazing experience. I also got to go dog sledding, try reindeer meat, drive a snowmobile, and cross-country ski. All pretty amazing for someone who lives in a climate that's 30 degrees celsius all year round.
