ABOUT ME

Tricky question. Well, I'm an ex student in literature. I lived in Paris several years but I spent my childhood in a tiny village in Upper Normandy.

To describe myself I'd say that I'm easy going, jovial, although taciturn sometimes, enthusiastic about any new thing I'm proposed to do, to see, to learn, etc. I have an inquirring mind. But it makes me feel easily bored, so I also need a lot of fun ! Meeting people and spending time with them is a priority to me but I also enjoy solitude.

I've been a host and a guest, and I enjoyed both a lot !

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted three persons untill today. I think it's an unique way to meet people, learn about them and show them a bit of our own way of life.
I surfed in Norway, in Greece and in France and I plan to travel as often as possible during the next years, and as I want to be as close as possible to the people and learn about the real heart of a country, I couln't think of any better way to do it !

Interests

First of all : see the world I live in and meet the people with whom I share it.
But I'm also very interested in arts, especially music, literature and cinema, in philosophy, psychology, history, environmentalism, permaculture, swimming, backpacking, hiking, skiing, party, stupid games, discussing opinions (although mines are rarely shared) and learn about others's opinions for I try to open my mind as much as possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

Rock'n'Roll ! American folk music, country, blues, rockabilly, garage rock, progressive rock, indie rock, psychedelic rock, hard rock, electro rock, french song...

And so many books I can't name all of them. I'm kind of a fan of 19th century french literature but I also enjoy very much ancient literature, english and american literature from the late 17th to the late 20th and french and british medieval literature.

And for movies, once again there are too many. But maybe I can name some of my favorite film makers : Malick, Leone, Coppola, Scorsese, Kubrick, Clouzot, Coen brothers, Inarritu, Wilder, Wenders, Besson, Tarantino, Rodriguez, Giordana, Audiard, Polanski, Almodovar, Del Toro, Berri, Lelouche, Chaplin, Ford, Miller...

Teach, Learn, Share

There are plenty of games that I'd love to teach you !
And if you come to my house, I have a nice movie collection and we all love to watch movies and talk about cinema.
I can also lend you some books and advise you about what you could read during your stay.
