About Me

Ademola is a writer, who wants to see the world through the eyes of people

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a storyteller, my dream has been to travel around the world, meet new, amazing people, collect their tales, broker bonds, and friendships. More than a writer, I prefer to see myself as a collector of stories.

I am on Couchsurfing because it promises an avenue for me to achieve all my travel plans while also meeting people who'd make the journey comfortable and less lonely.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a fan of rap, electric music, Rock, Jazz, RnB, Afropop, and any kind of sound that is mid-tempo and allows for some tranquility. Some of my favorite artists are Rihanna, Asa, Brymo, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Eminem, Odunsi, to mention a few.

Because I write nonfiction, I read more about fiction (novels). That way, I am able to consider the similarities between fictional happenings and real-life experiences. I also read nonfiction and poetry. Some of my favorites are Chimamanda Adichie, Bernadine Evaristo, Teju Cole, Logan February, Romeo Oriogun, Haruki Murakami, Kazuo Ishiguro, James Baldwin, among others.

My taste in movies is quite eclectic. However, some of my all-time faves are Three Idiots, The Fault In Our Stars, Like Stars On Earth, e.t.c

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2017, I designed a new media monitoring template for an international organization whose African head office is in Lagos. To date, the company still uses the template.

Also, as a writer, I have written amazing essays about people, places, and experiences that have shaped the person that I am, and the people around me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Because of my training as a storyteller, I have a listening ear. As such, the host is guaranteed a person who is interested in listening to their tales of woe, their pains, their joy, and pretty much any mundane happenings in their lives.

I read quite a lot. This makes me somewhat informed on many issues around the world. The host would be guaranteed a sparring partner for engaging and stimulating conversations.

I am generally a person who understands peoples's moods. As such, the host doesn't need to worry about someone talking when they'd rather
