Emigrate to the other side of the world but taking an adventurous overland route to get there

ABOUT ME

My husband and I got the bug for travel in 2001 but hadn't done much since our honeymoon in Hawaii in 2009. We loved Australia and we are now emigrating there, planning to settle in Adelaide. Rather than fly there we decided to travel overland on our motorbikes from England, arriving September 2012. I am a paediatric nurse and have been for the last 5 years and Chris is a self employed computer aided designer. We hope to host couch surfers in Australia but not until we have a home of our own which may be in a year or so.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We planned to use couch surfing on our travels but have found it difficult to contact people in advance, as we do not have a decent computer to use on Wifi and our phone was stolen enroute. We have also come across so much spontanous hospitality from the people in Russia, we have often stayed with them.

Musica, film e libri

Adey - I have a poor memory for artists, songs, films and books. Know what I like when I hear/see it - the bands I can remember are Vampire Weekend, Fratellis. I love comedy and presently being inspired reading about people's adventures.
Chris - eclectic taste in music, everything from alternative rock to classical

We lay no claims to being chefs but our cooking skills are improving - pretty good at home made pizza. Probably will be pretty good at roadside motorcycle maintenance by the time we get to Australia.
