Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To bridge the gap between people, places, and cultures by creating relationships through sharing a small piece of our life or experiencing a piece of my host's.
ABOUT ME
First, couchsurfing is part of my lifestyle. I am a runner, a teacher, and a CS'er.
PHILOSOPHY
The ingredients of memories (of which I'd like many) are people and places.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Host & surf. I would love to get together with local hosts more often.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My husband and I host lots, and I have surfed a bit. I hope the surfing ratio increases significantly in the coming year.
Interests
Reading, learning to play chess, learning new words, all things active: working out, hiking, running, trying new sports (of which I'm usually terrible), live entertainment, and sharing stories with CSers.

Music, Movies, and Books
I couldn't possibly list everything nor keep that list current. Instead I'll disqualify. I don't like scary movies, fad self-help books, most t.v., or overly self-deprecating comedians. I have a special place in my heart for post-vaudevillian movies, old radio shows, and classic English and 19th century literature. I couldn't even begin to narrow my musical interests.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've become acquainted and friends with people from all over the world (most of the time, without leaving my house)!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a good seamstress, teacher, and gardener. I know a good bit about Memphis, and can share ideas from my travels and share what I've learned from surfers.
I love sharing cool and silly Memphis spots with surfers.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Love of wine, new friendship, and an opportunity to share your city.
