My name is Adham, I am 30 years old, London born and raised and still living here! I have traveled a fair bit but always come home!

I work with male prison-leavers and the organisation supports them emotionally and behaviourally post-release.

In my spare time I love to play tennis and football (soccer). I am also really into weekends in the countryside; hiking, camping and trying to find wild swimming spots.

I am ½ Moroccan and ½ English so this mixed ethnicity is also part of my identity.

I love cycling too and ride around London every day.

I live in a housing co-operative in south east London. This means that we pay our rent as a collective to the local council. No landlords, which, in London right now, is a rare and beautiful thing! We have a pond and a big communal garden.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am taking a break from my work with ex-offenders as I have been doing it five years now. I have several weeks to explore Canada before returning to the UK. My friend, who is a primary school teacher, also has some extended vacation time, so we are going on a bit of an adventure prior to returning to our normal lives. We plan to see some parks and do some hiking and camping, as well as Toronto and Montreal.

I've always had my best travel experiences meeting and staying with locals so that is a big attraction of the site. I have met some great friends travelling and had them to stay with me in London too.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music wise I love electronic stuff, mostly techno though also some house. Grew up listening to hip hop and so always take a trip down memory lane. Do like contemporary classical too, Steve Reich, Thomas Ades.
