About Me

I'm a very tolerant person that is open-minded. I'm a wandering soul looking for my true purpose in life. I'm the furthest thing from boring, but I'm also very respectful to people who respect me. I'm pretty easy-going and it doesn't take much to please me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd love to meet new people and explore new places through the eyes of a local. I'm not interested in going to museums or typical tourist attractions. I want to enjoy a coffee or a beer with a new friend while trading life stories. I think that meeting locals is a really great way to experience things that otherwise would not be able to happen. Even a simple conversation with people from different parts of the world provides insight and revelations into the puzzle that is life. Hopefully by meeting you all we can exchange ideas and stories that have a positive impact on both of our lives.

Interests

Cooking is a huge passion of mine. I love cooking for other people because for me it is the ultimate way to show someone that you care about them. Cooking is also very therapeutic for me. Of course, with good food one must have a nice glass of wine to wash it down. I especially love a good light red wine like a Pinot Noir but I'm sure I have yet to discover even better wines. I enjoy bouldering/rock climbing to stay active because it is thrilling and requires a certain level of mental problem-solving that allows the brain to stay fresh. In university I studied Molecular Biology and Politics so I have a broad knowledge of many different subjects that I enjoy talking about. For fun I like to go to the beach and relax in the sun or go to bars with friends. My favorite thing to do is nothing. I think that when we are able to just sit still and do nothing we reflect a lot and discover things about ourselves that might be quite obvious if we just stopped trying to constantly be busy. Being able to do all these things while traveling is truly a dream come true.

Music, Movies, and Books

Paulo Coelho's the Alchemist is a huge influence. I feel as if I'm the boy in the book on a journey to discover my Personal Legend -- just as we all are. Your Personal Legend "is what you have always wanted to accomplish." A big theme in the book is "when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it." Let's be part of each other's journeys and help each other achieve our own Personal Legends in life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Life is amazing every day.

Teach, Learn, Share

Language is probably the main thing that people are able to teach each other on CS. I love learning different languages especially slang words used by locals. I am always open to try and learn new things that may have never crossed my mind. I can share a lovely meal or beverage with you. I think that sharing meals with other people creates a certain type of bond and friendship. I think the most important things that we can teach, learn, and share are things that would never even occur to us until we meet each other and talk.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a homemade meal, something that makes you laugh, and crazy stories from my life that really changed how I view the world.
