About Me

ABOUT ME

Three things I have always have in my pocket: a pen, a notebook filled with badly drawn doodles and things I usually forget I need to do, and my phone ( usually used for early morning tweeting/kindle reading).

A bookworm who loves to explore worlds on and off the page.

Just finished my degree in Theatre and Economics at the University of Alaska-Anchorage. Whew!

Currently living and working in Juneau, Alaska on the Al Gross Campaign.

I’m a huge nerd—love fantasy and science fiction novels, Neil Gaimen, Tamora Pierce, Gail Carriger and Patrick Rothefuss are some of my favorite authors.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to explore new cultures, and want to meet new people and can't think of a better way to explore the world than with locals!

Interests

Theatre, Fantasy, Science Fiction, Reading, Writing, and having adventures.

I also love talking about space--specifically dark matter, blackholes and dark space. And yes, Star Trek is one of my favorite TV shows.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I make a great omelette. I also have a killer recipe for chocolate covered strawberries (it's my go-to party dish). Non-food related, I'm a bit of theatre history buff, so if you want to be regaled about how King Louis 14th used theatre to control his unruly noble's, I could talk your ear off!

Learn: Anything and everything! I'm constantly fasciated by people. I love hearing about peoples passions--the topic that they could just talk for hours and hours about.

Share: Stories! Always. Books? I usually carry at least two on me at all times. I'm always a fan of giving books away--once I've read them, I think it's better for them to be read than waste away on my bookshelf. Really, let’s just talk.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Laughter, stories, and a great tasting omelette.
