Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Ciao a Tutti!
I am here to meet people across the globe and have a mutually beneficial cultural exchange. I enjoy learning languages (Currently trying my hand at Romance language aka French, Italian and Spanish) and deep-diving into food anthropology (Did you know? There are over 3000 varieties of Potatoes in Peru).
I have traveled extensively in India (My home country) as a solo-female traveler, so feel free to reach out in case you want to get some top-notch tips too!
Interests
Travel-wise, I enjoy stuffing myself with local cuisines, hiking around, soaking in the culture and photography.
Apart from these, my interests are pretty diverse - I indulge in everything from astronomy to singing to even gymnastics!

Music, Movies, and Books
I mostly listen to rock and a bit of metal. Iron Maiden, Deep Purple, The Who and Ramones are my absolute favorites. Apart from these, I enjoy fusion music and do not shy away from some pop chart-busters.
I do not consider myself a cinephile - will watch any movie that catches my fancy. Favorite movies include Roman Holiday, Before Sunrise, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind and a bunch of other Bollywood movies.
I read everything I can lay my hands on. Some favorites which just scratch the surface include A 100 Years of Solitude, The Catcher in the Rye, Animal Farm and Brave New World. 19-20th Century Russian literature spellbinds me and Indian Literary Fiction is my ultimate comforter. Poetry is food for my soul; The Prophet by Khalil Gibran is the one I keep going back to again and again.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Too hard to choose one...
On the adventure side of things, I have:
- Hiked the Kashmir Great Lakes trail
- Journeyed overland across the Himalayas in rickety old buses
- River-rafted in sub-zero temperatures.
- Hitchhiked in remote Himalayan villages.
However, during the pandemic, I guess I have been amazed by my dormant baking skills. I made Bagels from scratch!
What I Can Share with Hosts
- Treat you to and teach you how to make delectable Indian dishes (minus the extra-spice).
- Help you practice your English/Hindi language skills (I am a fluent speaker of both these languages).
- Teach you some Yoga moves (I have been practicing since I was a kid).
