Overview
About Me
International student from Bangladesh studying in Illinois, USA. I'm a henna artist and love to read on a wide spectrum of genre. My favorite color is green but I also believe all colors have their own beauty! People say i'm an extrovert but I feel like everyone moves between extrovert and introvert so those labels don't appeal to me as much.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Traveling has made me realize the importance of meeting locals and understanding the culture instead of being a normal tourist following the guides. It brings so much more to the journey and creates many more cherished moments as you become a part of the culture of the place! When I was introduced to couchsurfing, it was such an eye opener because it's such a wonderful way of uniting and showing different traditions that exists in a city or a town.

Music, Movies, and Books
Pretty much listen to anything but my favorites would be Coldplay, Oasis, Alt-J, Dean Martin, Khiyo
I'm not a huge movie fan but time to time a movie with a friend sounds good.
Books! There are so many! But i think for the next month i'm going to stick to Katherine Boo - Behind the Beautiful Forevers.
God of small things by Arundhati Roy is also a personal favorite.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Drove to Idaho with my advisor and his family to celebrate Christmas with 15 people and 8 dogs!!!
Teach, Learn, Share
My understanding of life so far is that it's pretty fluid. Things and situations come and go but we've got the mind and heart to rebuild ourselves. Let things flow in and out, but one must continue to work hard regardless!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd love to do henna designs and cook some bengali meals! I can share some of my culture and would love to know more about your life and the society you live in.
