About Me

Bonjour, Salam, Hello!

My name is Adil, I am a young French-born Moroccan who currently lives in Casablanca.
I studied English literature and Middle Eastern studies, and I worked in an E-commerce company as Operation Manager and Account Manager for a while (completely unrelated to my studies, I know :D).

I was born and raised in the outskirt of Paris in a Moroccan family, hence giving me a double culture, and my parents made sure to give me the best of both worlds.

From the French culture, I have a deep love for esthetics, architecture, history, arts, and gastronomy. I am very punctual and I value the importance of time and politeness (without being stuck-up, of course).

From the Moroccan culture, I have a very warm and friendly nature, generous, and I know how to treat and pamper my hosts and guests.

I love traveling, sight-seeing and discovering new places and new people, and I am about to experience India for the first time. I am so excited because this is a project I had for so many years.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I love to experience different cultures as a host. And because visiting a new country is much more interesting when you do it with locals. I tried it the first time in India and it was the best thing I've ever done.

Interests

I am passionate about history, specifically North African, Middle Eastern and South Asian history.
I am a real foodie, and I am always up to discover new dishes and new traditions.
Regarding cinema, I have been raised with Hindi cinema, US and French cinema.

I love literature, and definitely looking forward to discovering local writers.
