About Me
Hi there. I'm currently living in New York City, after attending Northeastern University in Boston.
In that time, I've spent a good amount of time traveling inside the US and around the world. As I've gotten a hang of going to new places and meeting new people on my own, it's become one of my favorite things to do. Listening to new music and trying out new food are very high on my list of priorities, and I try to do those things everywhere I am.
Outside of that, my interests are kind of all over the place. I like a quiet weekend at museums, reading, and cooking with friends, and I also like going out, seeing live music, and staying up all night. Whichever one I'm doing, I try to have a good time.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've done my fair share of traveling the usual way, getting a hotel or hostel and going sightseeing, but more recently, I've been more interested in going to new places with just a few friends and meeting people from walks of life different than my own. I'm really hoping that Couchsurfing gets me closer to that goal, whether I'm staying at your place or you're staying at mine!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music || mostly hiphop. lots of kendrick, love dreamville, and all the rap coming out of chicago, but I also like stuff like Erykah Badu, Al Green, and Tame Impala.
Movies || Sorry to Bother You, Uncut Gems, Parasite, The Lighthouse are some of the recent films I've really enjoyed. Also love anything with Aamir Khan.
Books || Last books I've read: Americanah, Drown by Junot Diaz, A Game of Thrones, and Banker for the Poor
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to a ski resort festival in Mayrhofen, Austria, where I got to see Idris Elba DJing in an igloo on top of a mountain in the Alps. That's more of an amazing thing he did though...
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm not sure what this means. History is my favorite thing to learn and share with people who've grown up somewhere different than me.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love cooking and I'm pretty interested in learning the "quick, easy" things that people from different places like to cook because they're often so different and really good. I also bring books with me wherever I go, so I'd love to trade with a host.
