Overview
About Me
I am social, positive, spontaneous, flexible and I have a lot of patience
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to meet people and see their city through their eyes. By staying with locals I hope to see some places that are amazing but not on the tourist list.
The other reason I am on couchsurfing is because I value meeting new people. It's a good way to blur the stereotypes and see the real inhabitants.
Interests
I love to take pictures from the places I visited. But not before I took it in, and know where I am taking a picture from.
Hiking in nature is something that can relax me. I love to just enjoy the nature and maybe even take the challenge with it. By climbing up steep hills or just accept a rainy day and still enjoy the city that I visit.
Going to an other city means the food traditions will be different. I believe that by eating and drinking local food you will get to know the city better.
By joining locals you can share the culture from the country and the city. We can share experience and interests from our own country to get to know a little bit more about the world.
I love to go to a bar I might not walk in normally. This gives me a chance to broaden my interests. And maybe even discover new music.
Reading is a good way to step in a different world and forget mine for a few hours. I enjoy reading novels and fiction. In 2019 I started to save the books I read in the app goodreads.
Everywhere I go I will hop in to the giftshop to by some postcards for my family and sometimes friends too. I really enjoy the old way of letting people know where you have been. And when my trip is over and my parents are not interested in keeping the postcards I have a good souvenir.

Music, Movies, and Books
The music I listen to the most is pop, classic rock and country but I also enjoy hardstyle and rap. Some artists I love to listen to are: Beth Hart, Ed Sheeran, Eminem, Kensington, Imagine Dragons, Pentatonix, Lewis Capaldi, Sam Hunt, Foreigner, Dire straits, CCR, Eagles, ZZ top, Toto, Queen and a lot more.
Books series I read are Eart's Children and the seven sisters. I also read some books from Carlos Ruiz Zafon. Most of the books I read are novels, thrillers and Romans. In 2019 I started to keep hold of the books I read in Goodreads. But that are only the books I read since I started the app.
I am really bad in remembering the titles of movies but I saw a lot. I am not that picky about movies. If you want me to watch a horror movie with you I will force you to watch a romcom or Disney movie with me after hahaha.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I moved to America for a year to live with a family and take care of their 4 kids. I am an au pair.
An other adventure that I am proud of was me driving with a trailer from the Netherlands all the way to somewhere in France. It was a 8 hour drive (for Dutch/European people that's a lot) . I drove with a friend but he didn't have a driver's license yet.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn sign language. This is something I have been interested in for a long time. In the Netherlands I want to learn this by following a course.
There is a lot more I want to learn, I know for sure that it will come up in a conversation.
Shareing stories about my work in restaurants and bars can be fun. I can even give you wedding ideas, because I saw so many.
I can also share my experience with working with kids.
Honestly I have know idea what I can teach you. Cooking might be something, if you are not so good at it, I can teach you the basics.
What I Can Share with Hosts
An awesome roommate! We could have good conversations about a lot of different things.
I can cook a meal for you if you want :p
You may ask me anything about the Netherlands and I might have an answer to it.
