About Me

I'm very sociable and get along with almost everyone I meet. I'm pretty nerdy, I play Dungeons and Dragons consistently twice a week! I love to read and watch shows/cartoons, play games (video and board), hang out with strangers and fart around on the internet. Im into art, watercolours and the mystical and occult. I also love going to the beach and camping, bonfires are great and I love a good hike that provides a great view, interesting wildlife or a desirable destination. I'm from the shenandoah valley/blue ridge mountains so I spent most of my time outdoors. I'm just getting into kayaking as well.

But in general, I'm pretty laid back, very go with the flow and accept you as you are. I love new things and learning, especially cultures, very into the spiritual and zen too. Love and kindness.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I travel I want authentic experiences, from people in similar situations as me or locals who know the destinations well. I want a full immersion not a guided tourist experience. I love meeting new people and making new friends, I want to hear about their lives and experiences. This is the best place to get all of that at once.

Music, Movies, and Books

From folksy hipster stuff to hard core Swedish deahmetal. I love music.

Give me YA, give me supernatural, give me spiritual, dystopian, mystery, mythological, real crime, manga, anything. I used to work in a book store and have a small library myself.

I worked in film so I love a lot of those too, I'm partial to meaningful thought provoking indie films but I love the action adventure stuff, marvel movies, romcoms, dystopian, horror. I'm down for just about anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I like to do social experiments, I'll leave $20 taped to a gas pump with a sign that says "take it only if you need it" then camp out and wait to see what happens. I like to sit with strangers at restaurants and just have a nice chat. And the most amazing things I've ever seen are simply people being kind.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good and respectful company, and once I've got some travel under my belt hopefully I'll have fun stories and destination suggestions!
