ABOUT ME

Hi,
My name is Dimas. I'm currently working in Australian non-profit organisation. I love to travelling and my favorite activities are swimming in the sea, sitting on the beach for hours and read my book, hiking, dancing and eating.

I'm also a professional Salsa and Ballroom dancer. I'm still practicing and just recently establish my own salsa group, Corazon de la Salsa Indonesia https://www.facebook.com/groups/477629055640238/

PHILOSOPHY

I enjoy meeting a new people and hear they stories. I believe that everyone is a diamond, the only thing that can shape/ cut a diamond is other diamonds, so the more you interact with other people, the more you get shape by other people stories and shine brighter. (I hope you get what I mean)

I am willing to host in my very limited time and very humble place. I always have guest room free for anyone that want to visit and enjoy the beauty of Yogyakarta, I might not have much time during the weekdays but I'll try my best to be a good host on the weekends and after work time. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've experienced hosting a few international coucsurfers in the past, however, I haven't experience to become a guest.

Interests

I'm an active person, I really like outdoor activities and dancing. I enjoy hours and hours walking and hiking with a good company and talk about everything. I really like managing an event and being in charge of planing things. I'm a coffee lovers and I love swimming and snorkeling (maybe because i'm a Cancerian). I love comedy show and a regular movie goers. I also really like spicy food and a karaoke regular visitor.

MUSIC: I love Adele (Who's not???) I love any kind of music.

MOVIES: I'm a big fan of horror movie. I also enjoy a sci-fi and fantasy genre.

BOOKS: Harry Potter.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It is hard to only mention one amazing thing. I've been very lucky to live in the paradise. I've done lots of amazing things, such as: swimming with Manta at Flores, Climbing volcanoes in Java, Swimming with shark and turtle in East Borneo, went to Orang Utan sanctuary in central kalimantan, etc.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a profesional ballroom and latin dancer and in the training to become a language teacher. I can teach some salsa/latin dance and a little bit of Bahasa Indonesia. I just recently found a new hobby, playing airsoft gun (or BBgun), I can take u out for an Airsoft battle and teach you some tricks.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a good cook and I can cook a delicious Indonesian dishes. Let me know what do u want to try and I can teach/ cook for you.

I can share some good recommendation on places to visit in Indonesia and tips to travelling in Indonesia.
