About Me

I am 23 year old who was born and raised in Orange County. I want to get out of my comfort zone--this huge bubble us OC kids don't realize we are trapped in. I want to learn the world outside the only world I know of. I want to know why people are who they are today. I want to know their ambition, their struggles, their love.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I plan on writing a book, however I cant just write a book with ideas that have been solely based on inductive reasoning in orange county alone. And so, with a set thesis in mind, I plan to ride venture the world, hoping to meet the true gems hidden in the vast 7 continents. I will learn of your stories, you will hear of mine, and the bond will be ever eternal.

Interests

Besides my ambition of travel, I do love the simple things in life. Eating a warm meal with the company of others, watching sunsets with some ambient music playing in the background, playing League of Legends in a PC Cafe, and just plenty more I hope to share with the company I will meet.

Music, Movies, and Books

This is a tough one. Music is my passion and life in terms of expression. I will dance to it, I will play instruments to create it, I will illustrate it on the computer using FL Studio, I will bathe in it while stargazing on a clear night sky. But to list favorites, here are my top 3:

Chillstep
Trance
Indie

For reading, I usually do not indulge as much but I do love myself some philosophical works. I love "Being and Nothingness" which explains more of Nihilism on the basis of existentialism. I also love "The Transcendalist" by Ralph Waldo Emerson. A poem I also love and pushed me to do this cross-country travel is the "The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost. I recent book I find very encouraging is "The Four-Hour Workweek" by Tim Ferriss for its uplifting turn on how life should have risks taken.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To list accomplishments of my past to my readers is simply defining myself as someone of my past. My past is not a great indicator of who I am presently, or who I will be in the future. So instead, I will list my past, present and future accomplishments.

Past: I have transcended; I have past the threshold of systematic thinking. Something that no one can dream of passing, simply because of not knowing of its existence.

Present: Finally dashing out of my comfort zone, and though I am scared of what I might come across, though I am afraid of starving, though I am afraid of the fact that I will be afraid, I am prepared for all of it.

Future: Accomplish my long-term goals
