About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Enjoy life, have fun, explore, have fun, move, have fun, work, have fun!
Enjoying every moment up to the fullest, now with another member of our family, our son Kristián (born at the end of 2020). I live with my husband (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/radek-macura). And with our son, of course :).
PHILOSOPHY
Keep smiling. Be optimistic. Never miss the chance to do something you want to do.
Never try to put yourself and also others in one box - the fact that I like to eat healthy stuff doesn't mean I don't like having a beer or two (Czech people never stop with one actually), the fact that I may look like a hippie doesn't mean I am vegan... Never restrict yourself and others to one label, people are complex creatures, let's explore :).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been a guest, I've been a host, both sides are a great experience. I enjoy talking to new people, talking about their lifes, enjoying some time together. A great experience for sure! :)
When I am a guest, I really like to be with the people I am staying at. It is a great opportunity to
get to know not only them, but also their culture, language, etc. I travel mostly to meet interesting people (and also to try local food because gastrotourism is simply the best :)). That's why I also like to hitchhike and volunteer (doing workaway) at various places because the amount of interesting people on the road seems to be indefinite!
When I host somebody, I want to have time for them, show them the city, take them out for a beer/wine/tea, etc. So if I don't have much time, I mostly reject the requests. However, if somebody cannot find a host and would have to sleep outside, I will not leave them on the street, one can always manage somehow :).

I really like to move, and I like the philosophy of e.g. Ido Portal, Fighting Monkey, etc, simply a comprehensive functional movement. I am still not a good mover, but I started the crazily long way to it :). I do capoeira, which is a very interesting Brazilian martial arts with a bit of dancing and a lot of music. And I really like mountains, hiking just cleans your mind, strengthens your body, tries your limits and brings you amazing panoramas. Simply a heaven!
I love music, both listening and playing/singing. We travelled with a mini ukulele, and we learnt a few songs. I play the piano (not worth much while travelling), love playing djembe and other African drums (now also in a band) and of course berimbau, a Brazilian instrument used in capoeira.
During our travelling, I realized that I want to focus on ways how to live my life sustainably and how not to destroy my surroundings. I am interested in permaculture, new ways of structuring organizations, ways of reducing waste, and a lot of other things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I can't decide, I find amazing all the travelling we have done - hearing stories from people, getting to know new places, getting new experience, ideas, inspiration...cannot simply choose one thing I think :).
(Before, I listed here that I did twice a summer job picking hops for beer in the Czech Republic. If you find this interesting, ask, I have a lot of stories :))
