ABOUT ME

I started out as a lawyer but then became a software developer. Now I'm living in Hamburg and doing a bit of both. Before this I was in New York for a while working for a newspaper there.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've had great couchsurfing experiences and have made some lifelong friends through it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite authors include Proust, Rilke, Robert Walser, Robert Caro, Gautier, Kafka.

My philosophical interests are mostly 19th Century German -- Kant, Kierkegaard, and Nietzsche.

In terms of photography I like most of the classic portrait photographers like Avedon, Beaton, Newman. Eggleston is also a favorite.

As for music, I listen to electronic, metal and classical, though it's mostly electronic these days.
