About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Get a TARDIS and travel through time and space.

I recently moved to Germany after having lived in Lebanon for the past 6 years, where I worked at a hostel and taught English at many NGOs to people of many backgrounds of all age groups. I basically spent these last 6 years getting drunk on the street, while meeting all sorts of interesting while insane people with whom I lived, partied, shared laughs and tears, and had all sorts of crazy adventures.

PHILOSOPHY
What we percieve as "Normal" is simply what is common to us, as when disaster becomes an everyday event, it simply becomes "Normalised".

I am not trying to change this country, I am trying to not let this country change me. "Ziad Rahbani"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I just love the concept of meeting total strangers and helping them out with nothing in return. It just reveals a whole other side to human nature which lots of people have forgotten about.

Interests

Listening to music on my headphones while walking alone in an empty street with dim lighting in the rain

Jamming with people from other countries

Discovering small narrow allies I never knew existed

Daydreaming, having random conversations with total strangers

Hiking, exploring different mind sets, politics, history, different ideologies, couchsurfing duh!

Teach, Learn, Share

In order to make the best of your experiences with people while traveling, you need to be friendly, vibrant, and open to differences and all sorts of jokes and try not to take offense from the new people you meet.

When sending requests whether to meet or for a couch, send as many as you can. You might not get a response because maybe the person is busy or uninterested.

Read the people's profiles carefully before sending requests because you might discover that he/she has negative references or maybe lives really far away for example. also by reading people's profiles you might find out that you have a lot in common with some people which could give more to talk about and communicate better.

Show people in the messages you send that you actually read their profile by mentioning in the message something they wrote in their profile; that will make the probability of them answering much higher and will show them that you care.

While writing the message you can also add in some words from their own language! that always seems to make people smile.
