About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I like to see new places and have new experiences to feel like I'm living and getting a better understanding of the human experience.
ABOUT ME
Family of 3 (1 teen) looking to meet new people from different parts of the world. We have frequently had foreign exchange students but didn't like the amount of structure. Sometimes there isn't time to enjoy yourselves and they are so overrun they fall asleep at the table, in the car, etc.
PHILOSOPHY
If you slow down, you go down! I have to keep moving, keep doing something or I feel like I'm letting life pass me by. I like nice things on a budget. I appreciate resourcefulness, helpfulness, and kindness
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To spice up our usual weekdays with interesting visitors.
Interests
I am currently studying pain control through the years and Printmaking. I enjoy books, rocky beaches, deep conversation, and art/crafts. Jeremy works for a small company of restaurants and coffee houses and likes to research that end of things. We both love architecture and science. My teenager loves pokemon, power rangers, and magic cards. We have board game nights with friends regularly.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love 80s music and electronica, a pompadour. Johhny Depp and his movies Chocolat, Edward Scissorhands. anything Tim Burton. I am currently reading "Difficult conversations" and the Dresden File Books by Jim Butcher (sci-fi). A lot like the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter Books, but without the throbbing manhood. I'm always lookiong to better understand and relate to the human condition. My favorite American TV show is the big bang theory because it brings up complex subjects I can then research on my own. I binge watch shows on Netflix and Amazon prime as well as the next guy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiking a glacier calve in Alaska after realizing you really don't need sunscreen there. Seeing the development of religion at Angkor Wat. Realizing that water is one of the few things that floats when it freezes. Viola! Life exists. Seeing reindeer run in a pack in Iceland.
Teach, Learn, Share
I find that people who have dealt with some kind of adversity in their life are more clear about the person they are, their stand on things, and their shortcomings. I like people that can talk openly about life experiences and feel comfortable asking questions, volunteering information
What I Can Share with Hosts
A decent place with honest, trustworthy people. Good food. Banter.
