About Me

I've been living in Taiwan for 2 years but want to take some time off to go exploring! I like short walks on the beach, noodles, and cats.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm new to couchsurfing and many people have told me that it's an awesome and fun way to travel. I'm hoping that I can meet new friends, explore, and maybe eventually host some people when I get settled down. So, hello CS!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - EDM, trance, deep house, moombahtron, dance hall

Movies - The Godfather, The Man from Nowhere, Treasures of the Sierra Madre, Once Upon a Time in the West, The Grand Budapest Hotel, American Beauty, One Flew over the Cuckoos Nest, Star Trek, Rear Window

Books - Never Cry Wolf, War and Peace, The Count of Monte Cristo, Catch-22, Dominion, Watership Down, Ender's Game series, Lolita, Siddhartha, Cyrano de Bergerac ... this is like asking who's your favorite child. I can't do this.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've successfully gotten a girlfriend while dressed like a boy.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to share my love for reading. However, I recently got a Kindle Paperwhite and find that I've started spending more time looking for books to DL and less time reading ... oops.
I'd love to learn how to become a better cook, try different forms of yoga, hike, learn a new language, explore, ... everything!

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you're ever in Taipei and need recommendations for awesome places to eat, if you want to be super fancy, stay low key, or eat the street, my stomach has the memory of an elephant. If you're more into adventure like crazy hikes, waterfalls, janky bridges or river chases or if you'd rather do some leisurely sightseeing of museums, hot springs, and historic sights I've got that covered too.

A lot of people have things like, "My awesome travel adventures." I'm not that well traveled and I have a terrible sense of direction, so I guess I can share, "My sedentary misadventures," which are numerous and awesome in an unfortunate way.
