About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Volunteer of Parque Nacional Los Glaciares in Chalten . Looking forward to climb as much as possible.

ABOUT ME

If you'd take a screen shot of my brain, I'd probably be thinking about mountains, climbing, or how alive I feel in cold harsh weather.
I'd also be thinking about the next yummy veggie meal I want to make.
I was born in Bolivia within the Andes mountains, but I'm studying Biology in Buenos Aires.
When vacations arrive (3 months a year or so) I'm trying to hang around in Patagonia or somewhere else up high.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd be more than happy to show my favourite spots around Buenos Aires, catch up on a climbing wall, get some mate/drinks, or take you to anarchist/permacultural communities if I'm doing ok with my lessons at uni (ha! What a nerdass you'll say, but perhaps If I tell you I have around 40 hours of class per week and lots of homework you'll understand):)

If we both happen to be in Cochabamba we can hang out all day if you want to. Time flows at another speed there. I spend most of my time outdoors or sport climbing, and truly enjoy having company around.
If I'm in the city we can get some drinks at one of the pubs or chicherias, or go scavanger hunting in second hand and witch markets.

Interests

Besides mountains, I also love capoeira angola and kum-nye meditation, but I have a hard time doing it regularly.
Not a long time ago I discovered I love being in the lab trying to understand what science has to say about life, and then going outdoors and having a another perception of what I see. What was ordinary before my eyes, is now marvelous and that is something that really makes me happy. It would be nice to someday be able to add a bit to the big picture of how we understand life.

Music, Movies, and Books

Nowadays I hardly ever read anything besides college stuff like papers and biology related books, but I certainly enjoy reading climbing mags and gestalt psychology. Some authors which have perturbed my comfort circle are: Bukowski, Fukuoka, J.G Ballard, Naomi Klein, Krakauer, Angelou, Chomsky, Palahniuk, Cortazar, Naranjo, Kundera, Saenz.

Music: I've been kind of obsessed with Radiohead and Pixies for some time now. When I was a teenager I really tried to find a favourite pop culture genre to identify with, this made me listen to lots of rock&roll, classic rock, grunge, blues, jazz, folk, hip-hop, world music, bossanova, indie, punk & electronic. Although I still like listening to this music, it's becoming harder to sit and listen to a new albums fully. I like the indie music suggestions from Pitchfork and Boomkat.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could help someone with their doubts in Sciences or Maths. English or Spanish, climbing, some djembe rhythms and capoeira angola moves or instrumentation.
I would love to learn more about sculpting, making instruments, permaculture, and your ways of recycling junk/garbage.

Countries I’ve Visited

Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, Swaziland, United States
