We are Judit and Adrià, a couple of 34-year-olds from Barcelona. Judit is an emergency room and intensive care nurse and Adrià is a biotechnologist-neuroscientist, but we decided to take some time off to live our dream of travelling around the globe (for a second time). We did it for a year and a half some time ago and now we’re giving it another round!!🌎🌍🌏

We’ve also lived abroad for several years for professional reasons, but we have also taken the most of it at the personal level. Thanks to that experience, we’ve met people from all over the world and we now have friends scattered across many countries – we’re taking the chances that we have to visit them during our travels, but we're looking forward to meeting new people along the way :) We’re eager to being exposed to other ways of thinking and doing, and we feel like we can communicate with all kinds of human beings.🙏🤎

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

We started using Couchsurfing because we thought it could be a unique way to get to know places and their people. After our first experience, and the few that followed, not only we confirmed our expectations but our hosts exceeded them! We've met such beautiful and generous souls along the way, we can only be grateful. Couchsurfing is one of these things that makes you believe in humankind.

兴趣

Because of the way we've been raised and our personal histories, we have developed a love for mountains, hiking, and nature🌳, as well as everything that has to do with the ocean🌊: (wind/kite)surfing, kayaking, snorkelling/diving... All of this has contributed to an environmental awareness that has shaped the way we live our lives.

Other things we really like:

-🍳Cooking (and eating!🍴): as good Southern Europeans, we think food is a way to celebrate life. We enjoy preparing meals and also getting to know local dishes and recipes.

-📷Photography: especially wildlife photography - we're taking pictures of all the amazing new friends from other species that we're coming across 🦈🐢🐳🦜

-📚Local culture: we love being immersed in the culture of the places we're lucky to experience. Language, history, gastronomy, customs, worldviews... that's the whole point of travelling for us.

-🖖Learning manual skills: this is something we're getting into thanks to volunteering projects where we've been involved. So far we've been getting our hands on bamboo construction, coconut oil production, gardening, ship deck maintenance... we also made a pizza oven from scratch! (check it on our profile pics :D)

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

We left our jobs and set to go around the globe (twice).
Also Judit defeated the fear to swim with a shark and Adrià caught a girl who fell from a tree!
