ABOUT ME

I was born in former Yugoslavia and moved to Vancouver, Canada in the early 90's with my parents when they immigrated. I have spent most of my travels in that region of Europe and it remains my favorite place to visit to this day. Last year, when the travel itch acted up again, I decided to follow my dream of moving halfway across the world and learning a new language, and came to Japan as an ALT. The place I would ultimately like to settle down in is somewhere in Europe.
I love to travel, love all kinds of people, culture, music and food. I am very easy going and a bit strange at times but mostly completely normal. I love the beach, big drinks, and a good debate, in any order or combination.
I often base my travels mainly on beach quality and my favorite season is summer. I think I would be happy living in a shack on a beach selling beer or icecream.
I'd rather be too hot than too cold.
I love animals, they are awesome and hilarious.
I carry my life in my purse, it's like a Mary Poppins bag.
I am able to get along with anyone I meet.
I'm a night owl and prefer to go to sleep and wake up late, but can handle early mornings when needed.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only couchsurfed once and actually it was not a very good experience :S But many people close to me have couchsurfed extensively and never had an experience like mine, and have had only good things to say so I'm excited to continue doing it!

Interests

Movies (really bad hollywood ones), animals (the furrier the better!), Lord of the Rings (books and movies), MUSIC MUSIC MUSIC of all kinds but especially electronic, Balkan, and other foreign; travel, swimming, suntanning, making sushi, beer, nightclubs, parties on the beach, anything to do with the beach, etc etc

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Adriatic sea where the water is like glass and you can see 20 meters to the bottom when looking from above water level. Snorkling in Thailand in a spot where the colorful little fishies were so dense that I'd kick them as I moved
