I'm on couchsurfing because it's the best way to know more about local people and get some ''not in the guide'' references. A part, I like people and couchsurfing offers the opportunity to meet interesting travelers and persons. On the other hand, I prefer helping in exange for the hospitality than paying money to an hotel.
