Overview
About Me
My name is Adrian Carrillo, I was born in the city of Mexicali but when I was 7 I moved to the city of Tijuana where I´ve been raised and where I have all of my friends. I really enjoy getting to know people from different backgrounds, I dislike to stay at the comfort zone that´s why I am always looking for opportunities to interact with new people and traveling a lot despite the challenges it could bring.
I speak Spanish and English fluently and I´ve been learning German for 2 years now. In my spare time what I like most is practicing my English and German and also reading books on finances and economics topics. I love teaching foreigners Spanish.
I studied the career of International Business, while studying I took one semester abroad, I studied one semester at SDSU in San Diego, CA which I loved so much since I was always hanging out with people from Europe, Asia, South America, etc and I learned a lot from them.
I am currently working for an organization called Tijuana EDC (Economic Developmet Corporation) which is dedicated to attracting industrial investments to the city with the purpose of generating more employment and helping with the economic development of our community, we provide the investors with all the information they require before deciding whether or not to invest in Tijuana.
I have one brother and one sister and also I have 2 dogs who I spend some time of my weekend with.
I am all the time trying to get the most out of my time so I take advantage of every little reason to learn something new.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I consider myself as a person who is willing to accept any challenges that could come up and somebody who is not afraid of any changes, that´s why I decided to join this group since I really want to get to know a lot of places worldwide but as money is always limited, having someone to host me, would be very helpful and really appreciated and in exchange I will be happy to host people at my place and take them if needed to the most important places of the city and nearby.
Furthermore I find staying at someone´s place more interesting and useful as I will be learning their culture and more importantly practicing another language.
Interests
I enjoy so much waking up in the morning, turning on the TV with a cup of coffee and start watching the BUNDESLIGUE and the PREMIER LEAGUE and in the afternoon the Spanish league soccer and the mexican soccer so what I am trying to say is that I love soccer and I also like the american football the NFL league.
Since I am starting my life as a graduated and therefore I have more time and of course more budget, I am so eager to get to know a lot of countries where I haven´t been to before.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love listening to alternative rock´s bands such as 3 doors down, linkin park, foo fighters among others as well as electronic, hip-hop and pop music, nevertheless I have no issues with listening to other types of music.
My favorite books are those which are related to financial and economic matters and especially those regarding personal finances since I like to have money making more money.
My favorite movies are The Godfather, Catch me if you can, Training Day, The wolf of Wall Street and so many more that I cannot name right now, I love to watch the serie The Boardwalk Empire although it already ended.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love teaching everything I stand out at to those who ask me or need it and I like so much teaching or sharing anything regarding my county´s culture and customs.
When it comes to learning I am always open to anything others have to share with me, specially as I already have stated few times when it has to do with learning a new language.
My hobbie/strategy is always learn a new word in German or in English per day.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Mostly I can drive them to the most popular places of the city and even to others surroundings cities and since I am familiar with San Diego in the USA I can also take them to places there.
I can offer my willingness to teach them about the mexican culture and customs and of course help them to learn/enhance their knowledge in Spanish.
And it is imperative that I will offer them a place to stay, where to shower, where to plug in their electronic devices and my availability to assit them in any issue they could face while staying in the city.
And why not...I can also cook for them typical mexican food.
