Hello world!

I am a masters student from Toronto Canada completing a degree in physical therapy. I have a 3-week break from school this summer and decided that spending that time in Europe would be a nice way to spice things up. It is my first-time solo backpacking so I really don't know what to expect but ill keep an open mind and hope to meet as many new faces as possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the idea of meeting up with strangers who actually live in the cities I will be visiting. It provides a much more unique experience to embrace the surrounding culture. The wisdom of the locals is what I am looking for as the idea of a standard touristy vacation doesn't really appeal to me. I love getting to know other peoples stories and sharing my own, its an amazing feeling to connect with someone who lives in an entirely different continent!

Music, Movies, and Books

I really enjoy electronic music, hip hop, jazz, alternative rock and all things in between. I love going to a new event and finding music I have never heard before.
Although I don't watch too many movies I enjoy thrillers, those movies that make you think plus a little bit of comic book superhero films in between.
I like reading science related books on mindfulness, sleeping, health and how to live a more efficient life. However, I have been recently trying to get into some fictional stories, got any recommendations?
