About Me
Hey there! I’m Adrian – I coach Nordic walking and lead fitness adventures in the U.S. I’m into biking, hiking, rock climbing rollerblading, skiing and anything outdoors. When I travel, I look for people who love nature, simple living, and maybe a cup of strong coffee. Always grateful for a safe spot and good company!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Back in 2009, I hosted travelers through Couchsurfing while living in Iceland. It was an amazing time — I met people from all over the world, shared meals, stories, and spontaneous adventures. Now that I’m traveling again, I’m excited to reconnect with the Couchsurfing spirit — this time as a guest.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Around 300 meters (1,000 feet) below the summit of Mount Toubkal, our group hit a snowfield. The certified English guide — no snow experience — kind of froze. The funniest moment? He pulled out crampons and tried to use them… in soft, unfrozen snow. I was laughing inside, but the situation was serious.
It took him over an hour to help one person down. I ended up guiding nine people in about 90 minutes — calmly, safely, and with no fuss. Without stepping in, we’d probably have been stuck there another six hours, risking a very late descent. I was completely exhausted and sunburned the next day… but the group made it down safely.
The guide didn’t say much after that. And honestly, he didn’t need to. Experience in the mountains always speaks louder than paper.
