About Me

I am open and curious about Life, in many aspects. I enjoy exploring the way the human body moves in the form of rock climbing, dancing and kitchen work. I am equally fascinated by entrepreneurship, digital marketing, and business strategy. Also I love music... the intricacies and dynamism, it's ability to bring us into different moods and states of consciousness. Both listening to music as well as playing; drums and hand percussions, drum circles, jamming. And of course, to experience novel experiences, to have conversations with people from different cultural backgrounds, to eat and taste local foods... all to have an inkling of an idea of what it is like to live Life in the other person's shoes.

I practice and teach Isha Hatha Yoga at our yoga studio as well as handle the business side of things. I absolutely love what I do, but for it to happen in the most productive way, my days when I'm in the city are very structured and planned out.

About once a year, I meet up with my girlfriend and we go on a month-long travel... Days where the rigidity of city life is replaced with freedom. Freedom to roam and explore, freedom to change plans at a moments notice, freedom to have chance encounters and discover new friends :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet people! I'm very intrigued and curious about different minds from different cultural backgrounds.

I was an Uber driver at one time, and that was a really eye-opening experience for me. I realised that there are whole sections of society living in the same city as myself, but that I never cross paths with.

Similarly, globally, there are so many interesting people that I would never cross paths with, and I think Couchsurfing is an amazing way to zoom in and meet different people.

Take an extra job as a Uber driver, work like crazy for 8 months. Quit my job, sell my car and my everything, and travel for 1.5 years :D

Teach, Learn, Share

Focused, involved conversation.

Being a curious listener about your life, the things you've experienced, your worldview, stories, etc.

Conversation about how things are in Malaysia or Asia. Culture, norms, history, etc.

If the ingredients are available, I can share some food/cooking from my hometown. I equally enjoy cooking together or helping you with food prep :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

If one wants to learn, I can share tools and techniques from classical Hatha Yoga. These tools can help with stress, physical mobility, mental focus, but ultimately they are for cultivating the right 'soil' in each person so that they can blossom into their full potential as a human being.
