About Me

I'm a 28 year old Caucasian, heterosexual, nomadic male embarking on a journey which will determine the rest of my life. After investing most of my life in school and work I've made the decision to do what I really want to and make it work. I'm currently traveling the world and recording my experiences through my Vlog and Website. Please feel free to check them out if you'd like to learn more about my mission:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My experience with couch-surfing has been overwhelmingly positive. I think the sorts of people that are attracted to couch-surfing, are the types of people I'm attracted to. They tend to be the most thoughtful, generous, interesting, and adventurous people I've met thus far. I couch-surf to meet those people and have a great time while learning new thing.

Interests

Most things I'm willing to try once and for me it's easy to be interested in something that other people are passionate about. Some activities I've had some experience with in the past and would love to do while traveling including:

- Running ( I'd love to see your favorite route around the city )
- Snowboarding/Skiing ( I can do both although I'm a much better skier )
- Eating ( I love food and have a very open mind )
- Drinking ( Show me your local brew )
- Yoga ( I'm pretty new to this but do enjoy it )
- Music ( I can't play but really dig live music )
- Dancing ( Typically requires Drinking and Music )
- Surfing ( I'm still a big newbie, you can only get better with practice )
- Outdoors ( Hiking, camping, etc. I'm down for it)
- Sports ( Playing or watching live, not on TV )
- Reading ( I read alot of Sociology books, I tend to read alot more while traveling)
- Filming ( I'm a complete novice, but I enjoy it so I do it )
- Extreme Sports (Skydiving, bungee jumping, etc. I'm Down!)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I love so much different music I'm not even going to list it. I like most of what I hear, lets just leave it at that.

Movies: the top 5 would likely be "Dr. Strangelove", "Her", "Boondock Saints", "Oldboy" (the Korean original), "Seven Samurai".

Books: I like to read Sociology books alot. My favorite fiction books are "Catch-22", "Fight Club", and anything by Hemingway.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Deciding to quit my job and travel the world for a year and hopefully the rest of my life depending on how well my project turns out. There is really no good way to answer this question without sounding conceited.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can cook, I'm not by any means amazing but my Korean food isn't bad (Thanks Maang Chi) and I feel like cooking is somewhat rare in American males. I also have read alot about sociology and somewhat about world history/events so discussions around that are always interesting. I know a bit about alot of different things and find myself sharing all the time, if you hang around me I'm sure I can teach you something :)

I'd love to learn to play piano/keyboard. I've had attempts at it a few times by myself without much success, I've very musically challenged but I love the way it sounds too much to simply give up.

I would like to share good stories and good drink. I feel like the best moments of my life weren't spent doing something amazing or new but in those moments sitting around with interesting people, simply talking.

What I Can Share with Hosts
