About Me

I am a 25 year old graduate from the University of California Santa Cruz and Returned Peace Corps Volunteer from Burkina Faso. I have lived on three continents and hope to have someday lived on all seven. I can kind of play the ukelele and guitar. I enjoy organic farming, communal living, good beer, hiking, swimming in cold water, meeting new people, and generally hanging out. Other interests include building and riding bicycles, spicy foods, cheese, dive bars, petting dogs, backpacking, and sharing music. My dislikes are musicals and Donald Trump.

Please read the section on my housing if you're looking for a place to stay.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started couchsurfing when I was backpacking around Europe alone for the first time at nineteen as a way to try something new. Since then it has quickly become my favorite way to travel due to the experiences I have been a part of and the people I have met. I try to avoid hostels and hotels whenever possible, as I much prefer the genuine connection forged with people from around the world while backpacking, wwoofing, and couchsurfing. I always enjoy hosting, and look forward to providing a fun, relaxing spot for travelers from around the world to get off the road for a few days.

Interests

My interests include driving and camping around the United States (driven 32 states thus far, need to spend more time in the North East), exploring new countries, hiking, backpacking, bicycling, playing bad ukelele and even worse guitar, Coen Brothers films, Stanley Kubrick films, Cormac McCarthy's books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have driven across the US both left to right as well as up to down, using only couchsurfing, wwoofing, and free campsites.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to true a bicycle wheel or play the ukelele. I always enjoy sharing travel stories. I am always looking to learn more about the world and all of its stories.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Happy to help with household chores, walking dogs, playing with cats, yard work, hanging out, fixing bikes, etc.. Generally pretty handy and enjoy solving problems.
