Overview
About Me
By day i build railways for a living, and then once i've hung up my hard hat for the day, i'll either be found on my bike, on foot exploring somewhere new, or in a bar drinking craft beer!
I'm a pretty straight forward guy, what you see is what you get. i'm also known to be well prepared for most situations. Not quite at Bear Grylls levels yet though.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm always up for an adventure. Whether it be to a new part of town, or to a new country, I always like to get involved.
Well, whilst travelling through the grand old United States of Americaland, i tried out CS a couple of times.. some Hits and some Misses.. but overall good fun.
i want to keep at it, hosting when i can, and staying with others when i go to new places.
Interests
So one of the main things i spend my time doing is taking pictures... you could say i'm an amateur photographer or keen Instagrammer (yes i'm another one of them annoying type of people that takes pictures of food and empty seats)(find me on IG @ady.rian ) (Flickr: adrian.richardson23)
So yeah, apart from that though, i just like to go exploring new places.. walking around being 'lost' but still knowing a way back to reality. I love Live Music, good food, good beer, and good times... I take to take interest in just about anything.. (except sports.. well i mean i'll watch a game.. but not really follow a team...)
So yeah i think i've covered most of my interests here.. like i say.. theres not much i won't do.. and if i'm meeting new people i'd love to try new things i've not done before..

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: very versatile tastes.. Mostly indie, rock, electro, DnB, jazz, blues, anything but Bieber...
Movies: mostly comedies, action, thriller, drama, sic-fi, animation
Book: not the worlds biggest book reader, but i'd like to tray and pick up a book or two whilst riding the rails across europe this summer.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
As i said in the last bit, Live Music is a big thing for me, and one particular event... Glastonbury (2010) left me particularly awestruck on many occasions throughout the weekend.. if i could i spend every year in that giant field...
Having not really done much traveling yet, i can only say that the only other things that awestrike me are just seeing some of the sites and sounds of a large city (in my case London).. sounds a bit boring i know.. but hopefully once i've come back from my first bit of proper traveling i'll have more to write about!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd like to think i can share my knowledge of photography with others.. and make everyone better at taking pictures... i'm no David Bailey.. but my friends all say they like my pictures..
my new hobby is Beer Making.. if you're a fellow Home Brewer... TALK TO ME.
What I Can Share with Hosts
right now, i can't host. but happy to meet with any CS's who are in Bristol and fancy a beer, or a wander around town. I'm still learning about new places here myself, but happy to share my new found knowledge with others!
