About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Hitchhiking through Nepal > Northeast India > Myanmar > Thailand > Laos > Vietnam > Cambodia > Thailand > Malaysia (5 months)

I will fly in from Malaysia to Nepal and start my little adventure (pun intended). If you're on the same route, join me!

13 Apr 2017 - mission completed!

ABOUT ME

Calm easy-going guy. Quiet but once I get warmed up, I could talk non-stop (caution ahead ;)) and do get a little playful.
Being a hotelier, I could practically talk about anything as I tend to admire and accept for what things are. I would admit that I am a good listener too.
I love sharing stuff (if i have anything to share) and sight seeing.
Hiking up a hill!! This tends to be my all time (if not, by far) most favorite activity, let it be to witness sunrise or sunset or having some good coffee.

So lets get to know each other :)

PHILOSOPHY

Lifelong learning. We only live in this world once so do as many things you can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

After seeing one of my friend who met amazing and awesome people from couch surfing in US and Europe, I too want to partake this experience through my lifetime and get to know more people from all over the world!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Currently new to couch surfing!

Interests

Most of the time if I am travelling, I like to walk around the destination searching for picturesque breath-taking scenery. My most amazing experience was hiking up Mt. Snowdon in Llanderis with the beautiful scenery but unfortunately my mates and I did not manage the peak because of the terrible mist. If I were in a city, I would be in search for a gastronomical adventure, eating this and that. Anything you give, I will be able to devour within minutes!

I am also a fitness freak/gym rat, did several marathons few years back but now I would rather volunteer for sport events now.

Interests: Mountain hiking, road biking, eating, listening to The Beatles, COFFEE!!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies I like: Pulp Fiction, Inception, The Wolf of Wall Street (any movie with Leonardo DiCaprio inside), This is The End, Pineapple Express, The Big Bang Theory, South Park, Friends.

Music: The Beatles, Oasis, Queen, Maroon Five.

Books I have read: Talent is Overated (Geoff Colvin), I usually read current issues on CNN or on Flipboard.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Solo overland trip, Kathmandu to Kuala Lumpur, Jan - April 2017

Eating a big ass ghost chili pepper in UK which got me gastric pains for hours.

Throwing tomatoes at the La Tomatina festival in Spain.

Teach, Learn, Share

Learn to accept life for what they are.

Anger is the root of all problems so always keep calm and carry on.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I think I cook pretty decent scrambled eggs. I could cook some Chinese food too.

I can teach you the Malay Language. I am part peranakan.

I can practise English with you. You can never get bored of the language!

Countries I’ve Visited

Germany, Indonesia, Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Malaysia, United Kingdom
