About Me

My name is Adriana, I’m an architect student from Mexico, this semester I’m in a exchange program at Milano.
I’m the younger one of three siblings, we grew up in the countryside of Guanajuato, but study in the city, so I have knew the best part of both sides.
I like hiking, swimming, camping, interacting with the nature is my favorite part of the countryside, waking up with the smell of the bakery is the best way, I love that you can go walking or in bicycle everywhere.
I decided to study architecture because I like that we can make that each place has their own essence, and my master will be in monumental restoration because they can do that the history of the city’s stay there longer.

I’m a really tidy and clean person, I always have my stuff organized.

I have work as a waitress in Canada while living with my sister in Vancouver, it’s one of my favorite places to be.

I like dogs and playing with them, back in Mexico we have four dogs, a beagle (the baby of the house), two bull terriers and one German Shepherd.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to meet new people and the way they interact with the city, so I could feel part of the place and not like an other tourist.

-Music: It the depends on my mood, when I’m doing homework I like to listen do classic music, when I’m driving home I like the pop, and for dancing I like reggaetón, salsa, etc.
- movies: the historical ones are my favorite, I love the outfits they use to wear and the way the old cities looks. I like horror movies too, the feeling when you are waiting for the ugly part to happen, is my dosis of adrenaline.
-Books: one of my favorite ones is pride and prejudice,
I love more reading that watching movies, the way your mind can imagine what you are reading is really amazing.
The books that I like the most are; me before you, if I stay, the boy in the striped pijamas, conquistadora, Marina, 3 golpes de tacón, Narnia, el juego del Ángel, el príncipe de las tinieblas.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being in Mexico City the 19 of September 2017, the day of earthquake was the most impact things that have ever happened to me, after seeing all the destruction I volunteer first in the city with the Cruz roja and then back in Querétaro with my friends to take some food and things the people in Oaxaca need, as an architecture student we help the people to see if their houses were safe to stay.
It’s a moment that change your life forever.
