Bonjour, je suis une étudiante americaine aux États-Unis à Denison University, où j'etudie le français et les études internationale. L'année dernière, j'étais une fille au pair à Paris. Depuis mes temps là-bas, j'ai un amour incroyable pour la langue et culture française. J'adore apprendre les langues et cultures differentes, et la meilleure façon à le faire est par voyager !

Hi, I'm an American student at Denison University, where I study French and International Studies. Last year, I was an au pair in Paris, and ever since that I've had an incredible love for the French language and culture. I love to learn different languages and cultures, and the best way to do that is to travel!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Je fais couchsurfing pour trouver les hebergements quand je voyage, mais aussi pour trouver des personnes qui peuvent m'aider avec mon français ! Normalement je parles en anglais chez moi, alors quand je voyages j'essaie à parler le plus français que je peux.

I do couchsurfing to find hosts when I travel, but also to find people who can help me improve my French! I normally speak English at home, so when I travel I try to speak the most French that I can.

Interests

J'adore parler de mes études ! Je vais à une université "liberal arts," donc j'ai beaucoup d'interesse dans plusieurs sujets. Les communications, l'histoire, l'anthropologie, etc. Aussi, j'aime bien les arts plastiques, en particulier les ceramiques !

I love talking about my studies! I go to a Liberal Arts university, so I am very interested in a multitude of subjects. Communications, History, Anthropology, etc. Also, I love fine arts, especially ceramics!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading, but I unfortunately don't have a lot of time to do that as a student. Last year I was really interested in Elizabeth Strout books, and I also read "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," which was absolutely amazing. For one reason or another I'm always in the middle of an Agatha Christie book, but I can't finish it because of school work. If you have any books you enjoy I'd love to talk about them!

As for movies, I'm really into anything Historical Fiction, but comedies are also great too. Have you seen Rain Man ? That's a great one. Anything with Tom Hanks is probably a favorite.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

hmm..Une fois, je suis allée en Italie pour un seul jour pour voir la famille (C'était quand j'ai habité en France). Je sais ce qu'il y a plusieurs personnes qui ce fait toujours, mais pour moi d'être là moins que 24h, c'était vraiment une aventure !

hmm...One time, I went to Italy for one day to visit my family (this was when I lived in France). I know that a lot of people do this all the time, but for me, to fly there and back the same day was really an adventure !

Teach, Learn, Share

J'adore d'essayer des nouvelles choses. Franchement, c'est la meilleure pièce de voyager! Aussi, je peux partager ma connaissance et mes histoires - mais je ne suis pas trop sûr s'il ya des gens qui veulent les écouter! Néanmoins, j'essaie d'être polite et amiable toute la journée, tous les jours ;)

I love trying new things! Honestly, I think it is the best part of travelling. I am also able to share my knowledge and my stories- but I am not sure anyone will want to listen to them! Nevertheless, I try to be polite and friendly all the time!
