Hey I’m Adriana from Adelaide, Australia. Currently on my second extended travelling trip, this time for 12 months across Central and South America. My travel partner and I couchsurfed through Europe and North America 4 years ago where we made lifelong friendships. Ever since then we have been itching to lose ourselves again in traveling, meeting new people and experiencing their cultures.

In Australia I work as an occupational therapist for a charity who supports children, youths and their families who have disabilities. Most of the people I work with have vision impairments or are deaf. This work has become one of my passions, I really love what I do!

Yoga has become a newer passion in my life and I’m looking forward to doing my yoga teacher training in Costa Rica in October! Hoping to incorporate my yoga practice within my work to help support physical, emotional and mental wellbeing for children and youths with disabilities.

I’ve loved every experience my travel buddy, Lochie Emes, and I have had Couchsurfing, both being a host and guest. The generosity of complete strangers has blown me away. We’ve been to many countries and the ones that stand out in my memory are the places we couchsurfed!

I can teach you a few signs in Auslan (Australian sign language). Once I’ve completed my yoga training in October I would love to teach some of this practice.

I’ll can attempt to cook for you, but be warned you’ll appreciate the thought rather than the food!
