About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Create lasting stimulating contacts with great people of this planet. I am excited to take the opportunity to hit the road as a translator in Europe in the next few months!

ABOUT ME

Hey out there! I'm a fun-loving, adventure-seeking guy who enjoys a good chat with young minds (you`re only as old as you act). I have been living in Montréal - the greatest city in the world - for 8 years now. I love meeting people with good ideas and better anecdotes about life experiences, and I don`t hold back - I`m easy to get to know and I love to share my passions and share experiences and challenges.
I am passionate about many things on this planet, but none more than a good beat, a good riff, drum fill, a sweet slam dunk, a top-shelf wrist shot (hockey), or inspired literature. On a more personal level, I am very active and enjoy biking, playing basketball and hockey, hiking, or a good road trip!
This profile would not be complete without mention of my passion for language. I have been studying bilingualism and translation for many years and I love the challenge of learning a new language or more about the nature of the ones I know well.
Other random interests include
I am currently heading to Eastern Europe for some travel, but will be back in Montréal and ready to host in the new year!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I recently went on a spectacular road trip with my girlfriend through Atlantic Canada and stayed with some incredible folks that we met through CouchSurfing!
I think this site is a great way to help enhance travelers` experience by helping people meet locals. I believe that it`s a great means to promoting equality and sharing in society.

Interests

Trees, wolves, learning about the cosmos, preparing a great feast...oh I better not start on food, but I have to say that the Mango and the Fig are in a tie for best fruit these days.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walked 100km along the beach in Eastern Honduras and met the local Garifunas - lovely people in a remote region!

Got thrown off the train in the middle of a herd of sheep in Southern Bulgaria and bought one large watermelon with a Canadian Loonie before embarking on a great adventure!

Scaled a huge Volcano without a guide in Nicaragua and proceeded to get lost in the dense forest, only to emerge at dusk after a 40 km trek.

Starting swimming lakes with a crazy friend in Québec this summer. What a thrill! One of Canada`s greatest attributes is her lakes!
