ABOUT ME

Hi everyone! Welcome to my page - I am currently a student in New Haven but am now backpacking around Europe through France, Italy, Spain and Portugal. This journey has been an incredible ride and I am so happy that I still have more than half left!!

A little about me: I LOVE meeting people. I am very outgoing and free-spirited but I also love having interesting conversations about any topics and learning as much as I can from other people. As much as I love people, I love travelling. I think travelling is one of the best ways to get to know yourself as well as open your mind to a universe never known to you before.

Dance is my life. At school, I choreograph Salsa, Merengue and Bachata, but more in general, I love to dance any type of style in any type of setting.

Finally, culture is really important to me. I am originally from Colombia and have grown up in the States but I think culture is such an important part of society. In every new city, I look for chances to witness the culture, aura and personality of the city in order to get a great sense of it.

PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy is this: Live your life freely without any regrets. Yes, learn from your mistakes, but don't dwell on them so much so that you stop living life. Take life one day at a time and enjoy time with the people you love because you never know how long you will have them. Have fun. Have fun. Have fun!

Música, películas y libros

I LOVE movies - so we can definitely chat about movies we have both seen. Everything from comedies to dramas, to Bollywood, to independent films - I love them all.
Give me a good book and I am good. I have a problem because sometimes I read so much that I forget to do whatever else I have to do during the day!
MUSIC. I can't live without it. I listen to alllll kinds and love new suggestions.

Algo increíble que he hecho

While I was studying in South Africa, our professor organized a trip to Kruger National Park. It was a beautiful afternoon and my class and I embarked on an afternoon/night safari ride. We had heard from our professor that we could visit the Mozambique border so we immediately asked the guide to take us there. We rode up a mountain into the bush and soon found a clearing where we could have a picnic and watch the sunset - it was AMAZING. I will never forget this amazing sight!

I think Couchsurfing is the best method of sharing. One you get to know a person that you probably would have never met and two, you expose yourself in a way that is enjoyable and welcoming.
One thing I love to share: food! I love to cook and would definitely love sharing some of my culture (both Colombian and American) with you. Hopefully you will do the same!
