About Me

Hi, my name is Adriane and I'm a recent graduate in Public Relations and about to start into adult life by getting my first full time job soon - but first, I want to travel some more, see a bit more of the world and make the best of the spare time to get to know other cultures. What's better for that than meeting new people during stays abroad?

In general, I'm very interested in traveling, cooking, reading, DIY and crafting. It's easy to get me very enthusiastic about new things and of course, I love to share that ardor with the people around me.

I love sharing stories about travels or life in general, so I'm very looking forward to spend some time with locals on my travels to learn more about their experiences and knowlegde.

I'm currently in a Workaway project, surrounded by many avid travelers and adventurers who also recommended Couchsurfing - and I'm the happiest I can be. That why I'm really hoping for some Couchsurfing experiences in the upcoming months.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing offers the perfect opportunity to meet new people from other cultures and only with that, you are able to get to know a visited country as a whole. During my current Workaway projects in England, I've met many people from countries around the world and I've gained an amazing amount of new information - for example that once a Boa Constricor got you, you have to grab her tail in order to free yourself (Costa Rican Life Hacks) or that there's such a thing as Australian football.

Music, Movies, and Books

Since I love so many things, it's hard to point out something in particular, so I just write down what comes to my mind spontaniously.

Music: Alternative, Pop, Indie,... It depends on my mood but those are my Go Tos. Favorite Artists are for example Coldplay, Oh Wonder, Halsey, Bon Iver, Imagine Dragons, Ed Sheeran. What's always nice is the "Songs to sing in the Shower"-Playlist from Spotify ;-)

Movies: Lord of the Rings - best movies ever made. But in general, I'm more of a TV show person ;-)

Books: Don't get me started because settling on one specific one would lead to a proper mental breakdown - I love so many so much! To give you an idea: Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, The Nevernight Chronicles, Six of Crows Duology.
For all of you travelers and cultural exchange interested: "The Atlas of Happiness" by Helen Russell is a wonderfully written book about what views the world and specific nations have on happiness. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I have.

Countries I’ve Visited
